Calculating BMI

Before calculating the BMI you should understand that you have to input all values in any one of the systems. For example if you are calculating BMI using Metric systems then you have to input all units as Kilograms and centimeter. While if you are interested in British System your input should be Pounds and Inches. Don't mix two systems like Pounds and centimeters otherwise you will get wrong BMI. If you follow this simple advice then you will never go wrong as far as calculating BMI is concerned.

Another important point you should understand while calculating BMI is all your answers should be round off up to two digits. For example if you get 2.848746363 then you should write simply 2.85. Now if you are ready to calculate your BMI then take one pencil, paper and a simple calc.

Calculate BMI for Men

The formula of BMI calculation is

Calculate BMI for Teens

A = Your body weight/your height,
B = A/ height
BMI = B X 703

Let's see an example if you are weighing 140 Lbs and your height is 5'5'' (65 inches) then

140/65 = 2.15
2.15/65 =.033
0.033 X 703 = 23.199 (23.2)
Your BMI = 23.2

Similarly you can calculate your BMI after the diet and by comparing the two BMI you will know how much BMI you have reduced.
